Hi, my name is Nathan Place. I’m a qualified Transactional Analysis counsellor, and a member of BACP and UKATA. I offer online talking therapy over Zoom at a competitive price- see “Pricing and Common Questions” for more.

Some people benefit from a practical, behaviour-focused approach; others find it useful to explore how their current difficulties link with past experiences. Both approaches can help achieve change and healing, so I work flexibly, basing my approach on the person in front of me.

I have practiced counselling in several settings: through Durham University’s Counselling and Mental Health service; Mind; and UK Counselling network, as well as having my own practice. I have experience working on a short-term (around 6 sessions) and long-term (1 year+) basis with a variety of difficulties, such as anxiety, relationship issues, and grief. I also have experience working in Psychiatric Intensive Care, supporting individuals with severe mental health conditions. This gives me experience with a wide range of mental health conditions, ensuring you are in a safe pair of hands.

If you have any questions or are interested in having a free assessment call with me, please find my contact details here.
